Canada will provide $ 30 million to upgrade Biolaboratory in
Kyrgyzstan. Told in an interview with National Post, the representative
of the Canadian Foreign Minister Trevor Smith, dealing with the
problems of non-proliferation of chemical and bacteriological weapons.
In this Biolaboratory stored samples of dangerous pathogens. At present
the existing facility, he said, "There are a number of shortcomings in
regard to safety, and for objects, which holds some of the most
dangerous materials, it is simply unacceptable."
